About the Programme

Strengthening governance in South Africa's creative sector through structured assessment and support.

What is Board Connect Governance Intelligence System?

Board Governance Intelligence System is a comprehensive governance diagnostic tool designed specifically for South Africa's creative sector. Developed by Board Connect in partnership with Business and Arts South Africa (BASA) for the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC), it forms a key component of the broader Creative Governance Enhancement (CGE) initiative.

Board Governance and Leadership Programme is a structured, module based development programme that helps sector organizations improve oversight, compliance, and board effectiveness.

Our goal is to strengthen the governance capacity of creative organisations, enabling them to operate more effectively, attract funding, and contribute sustainably to South Africa's cultural landscape.
